LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Diana Streisand Kind, mother of singer
Barbra Streisand, has died, her daughter's publicist said. She was 93. 


Kind died Saturday at a Los Angeles hospital of complications from an
accident she suffered at home last November, Dick Guttman said Monday. 


Kind, who was involved in a number of charitable causes, had worked in
the New York City schools for many years. 

"The daughter of a cantor, she had a beautiful singing voice, a legacy
passed on to her daughters," Guttman said in a statement.
